New Depot Opening In Canvey Island Marks Continued Expansion for First Fence
First Fence are pleased and proud to announce our expansion of our depot network with a new site in Canvey Island, Essex. We have spent the past nine months locating and fitting out the 30,000 sq. ft. premises and we are delighted that it is officially open and operating!

First Fence, a front runner in the UK’s fencing industry, is pleased to announce the expansion of its depot network with a new site in Canvey Island, Essex. This announcement forms part of our company’s commitment to invest in its infrastructure, supporting the continued growth of the fencing industry and the needs of our customers.

First Fence has spent over nine months locating and fitting out the 30,000 sq. ft. premises, which is predominantly warehousing space. The storage capacity allows high stock levels to be maintained, ensuring products are immediately available to customers facing tight deadlines. The property is ideally situated with access to main road networks and just two miles to the east of Canvey Island town centre. The location ensures First Fence can better service its customers in the South of the UK, offering a Same and Next Day Delivery service, that sets it apart from our competitors.

The Canvey Island depot is the latest investment in First Fence’s supply depot network. From inception in 2010, First Fence has continued to grow; adding five depots to our ever-growing operation, with depots in Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bradford and Dartford.

“These developments support the ambitious plans we have for the next couple of years for First Fence” says Vinny Kotecha, Director at First Fence.

“The new depot opening is just the latest sign of the confidence we feel about First Fence’s future expansion. The team has worked hard over the past couple of years to penetrate the market and we are now focused on growth. The new depot at Canvey Island allows us to increase capacity and enhance service levels, which marks another sign of our ambitions for the business.”

This comes after First Fence made a major investment in its transportation capacity as we continues to also invest in product development and increase its management systems. Having added three 32-tonne Artics together with Moffett forklifts to our fleet of 48 vehicles, capacity will further increase in April with the arrival of 20 more vans.

“This is a significant upgrade which means we can continue to offer a fully comprehensive delivery service in line with our exciting growth plans and customer expectations,’ said First Fence’s Group Transport Manager Jason Bennett.
