First Fence launches Mesh Wall Toppers, designed to offer a practical and reliable solution for increasing the security of existing walls. What is a Mesh Wall Topper?
Mesh Security Topper Kits offer a practical and reliable solution for increasing the security of existing walls. Designed for wall mounting, these kits are available in various configurations, including straight, 60-degree crank, and 90-degree crank options, allowing flexibility to suit different security requirements and visual preferences. Constructed from durable 868 mesh, they form a strong, effective barrier to deter intruders and protect property.
Each kit is designed to extend the height of an existing wall by 0.6m. The system includes straight posts that mount directly onto the wall, along with an 868 mesh panel measuring 630mm high by 2.5m wide. The range features complete fencing kits (including post, fixings, and panel) as well as separate intermediate and corner post kits, enabling the extension to be built to any required length. Standard colour options include green and black, with custom RAL colours available on request.
Scope: These mesh wall toppers are designed to be installed atop existing walls, fences, or structures. They offer added height and deterrent features for applications requiring enhanced boundary protection.
Purpose: To provide a practical and cost-effective means of increasing perimeter height and security without replacing existing infrastructure.
Intention: To help deter unauthorised access, enhance safety, and support compliance with security and safety requirements in commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
The Design of Mesh Wall Toppers
Modular Compatibility: The toppers are engineered to work seamlessly with existing walls or fencing systems, allowing for straightforward retrofitting without the need for major structural changes.
Weight Considerations: Panels are manufactured from lightweight mesh materials to minimise additional load, making them suitable for older or non-reinforced structures.
Fixing Solutions: A variety of bracket and post options are available to suit different mounting surfaces such as brickwork, concrete, or steel, ensuring secure and reliable installation.
Aesthetic Continuity: Mesh styles and coating finishes are chosen to visually complement existing boundary treatments, maintaining a cohesive and professional appearance.
Security Focused: While increasing overall height, the mesh design allows for clear visibility through the fence line, helping to deter intruders without creating blind spots.
Height Efficiency: The 0.6m extension discreetly increases security, often avoiding the need for full-height fencing replacements or triggering additional planning requirements.
A Look At the Panel
It's what's inside that counts, which is why we're using 868 Twin Mesh. The strong and flexible mesh is difficult to climb or cut through, making it a smart security choice.
