Chapter 8 Barrier

Our chapter 8 barriers are used for a number of applications including traffic management, event management and construction sites. Our high visibility barriers are easy to assemble and transport to different locations. Manufactured from Polyethylene for the body and recycled PVC for feet, our barriers are designed to be hard wearing and can be recycled when no longer needed. Chapter 8 compliant barriers are barriers which follow the guidelines and restrictions from Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8. This means that our barriers have gone through several requirements and can be used for roadworks, events and construction sites.

StrongWall Barrier

The StrongWall barrier is a self-weighted plastic safety barrier which is ideal for use in high risk environments such as building sites. These offer a high level of safety to both site workers and members of the public. The barrier measures 1000mm x 1025mm and each weigh approximately 22kg. If more weight is required, the top sections of these barriers can be filled with either sand or water. These can be connected to other StrongWall barriers to form an incredibly strong barrier to suit your requirements such as protecting workmen during road repairs or surrounding a construction site.

Water Filled Barrier

These waterfilled barriers are designed to be used to manage pedestrian and traffic flow. There are used a lot for traffic separation, events, roadblocks and pedestrian pathways redirection. These lightweight barriers can be easily transported and stacked upon each other. However, when filled they create a solid barrier which can withstand up to 55mph winds. Our plastic Water Filled Barriers function as effective road barriers and provide a sturdy and reliable safety barrier system that can be used on a temporary basis. Manufactured from robust UV-stabilised polyethylene, these barriers are designed to be long lasting.

Concrete Barrier

This kind of barrier is used to create a physical cordon to prevent unauthorised entry or to direct traffic. These concrete barriers have been designed to interconnect and will create a strong and extremely substantial perimeter or walkway system on either public or industrial sites. This heavy-duty barrier system can be arranged into either a straight line or slow radiused systems thanks to their specially formed interconnecting ends. These solid concrete barriers have been designed to protect areas from ram-raiding or other forms of unauthorised and aggressive vehicular access. They are also suitable for creating semi-permanent traffic lane dividers.
