Agricultural Timber Fence Posts

First Fence's range of agricultural timber fence posts and accessories provides strong, durable and versatile solutions for a variety of fencing projects. Whether you are securing a boundary, enhancing garden aesthetics or building agricultural enclosures, we offer a selection of high-quality timber posts to suit your needs.

Timber fence posts are a fundamental component of agricultural fencing, providing a strong, durable, and cost-effective solution for securing farmland, livestock, and crops. Crafted from high-quality treated wood, these posts are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, resist rot and insect damage, and offer long-lasting performance.

Our Range

  • Intermediate Strainer Post Kits: An important aspect of agricultural fencing, intermediate strainer post kits are usually more robust than standard line posts as they are designed to bear the tension and maintain the fence's upright integrity. These posts are placed along the length of the fence line between end or corner posts. The kits contain one strainer post and two struts.
  • Corner Strainer Post Kits: These offer support when your fencing line makes a change in direction. This kit comes with one strainer post and two struts.
  • End Strainer Post Kits: These posts are for starting and terminating the fencing run. The kit comes with one strainer post and one strut.
  • Posts: They are available in a range of sizes and in Tanalised and Creosote finishes for installation flexibility and to easily replace old posts.

The traditional fixing method is to drive the strainer post into the ground and backfill with soil or stones; the struts are often concreted in to add support. Post Mix will be ideal for this and can be added to your order.

Tanalised UC4 & Creosoted Finishes Explained

The post kits come as a Tanalised UC4 or Creosoted version, both processes give excellent resistance to rot, insect and fungi. Tanalised UC4 timber is pressure-treated with preservative chemicals and is excellent for in-ground contact or with water. Creosoted posts have a darker finish but are not suitable in all environments, especially those that are near water (ponds, lakes and rivers, etc). Please check before using.

Features & Benefits

  • Pressure-Treated or Creosoted for Longevity: All our timber posts are pressure-treated or creosoted to protect against rot, decay, and insect damage, ensuring long-lasting durability.
  • Strong & Reliable: Sourced from the Baltics, where the climate allows the wood to grow slowly, giving it more strength and durability.
  • Versatile Applications: Suitable for agricultural fencing, garden boundaries, commercial security, and equestrian enclosures.
  • Sustainable & Natural: Sourced from responsibly managed forests, offering an eco-friendly fencing option.

Whether you need a rustic, traditional, or modern fencing solution, our timber fence posts and accessories provide the perfect balance of durability, aesthetics, and functionality.
