Scaffolding is a key feature of many building or construction sites, and is used to gain access to a building whilst construction, renovation or repair work is taking place. Scaffolding systems are made of steel tubes, fittings, and boards. They can be put together in various ways to meet structural and access needs.
You can browse our range of scaffolding above or learn more below.
Standard scaffolding tubes are 48.3mm in diameter and have a 3.2mm thickness. Our scaffold Poles are available in 5ft, 6ft, 8ft, 10ft, 13ft, 16ft and 21ft lengths, and are made from high quality galvanised steel.
Offering a high level of strength and durability, our scaffolding tubes are designed to last a long time and are completely reusable.
Our scaffold boards are manufactured from European whitewood timber and meet the BS 2482:2009 standard. We can supply them in 6ft, 8ft, 10ft and 13ft lengths, and they should be securely laid onto transoms within the scaffolding structure for safety and support.
Scaffold boards are ideal as they provide a strong and supportive walkway within your overall scaffolding structure; enabling you to access the building whilst it’s undergoing construction work.
All of our scaffold boards offer a high level of strength and are suitable for multiple uses.
At First Fence, we offer a range of scaffolding fittings, which will allow you to construct your scaffolding system in different directions, to meet your structural requirements.
All of our scaffolding fittings are made from steel, which has been galvanised with zinc to help protect them from rusting rust. We have three types of steel scaffolding fittings for you to choose from:
Like the rest of our scaffolding range, you can purchase our scaffolding fittings individually, or in bulk.
For a comprehensive scaffolding solution, look no further than our selection of additional accessories! We offer debris netting, acoustic barriers, and corrugated scaffold sheeting to enhance safety and functionality on your project. Debris netting provides a crucial safety measure by catching falling materials, protecting workers and pedestrians below.
Acoustic barriers help to minimise noise pollution from construction activities, keeping the surrounding environment peaceful. Corrugated scaffold sheeting protects workers and materials from bad weather, making the worksite more comfortable and productive. These complementary additions to your scaffolding system promote a safer, quieter, and weather-protected work environment.
Scaffolding accessories are essential for transforming a basic structure into a safe and efficient work platform. They include aluminium beams (450mm & 750mm) for the core structure, spigots for secure connections, and spring clips for rapid assembly. Scaffold ladders, offered in various lengths, provide safe access with slip-resistant rungs. Swing gates and trap doors prioritise safety by controlling access points and preventing falls. Ladder clamps secure ladders to tubes, while scaffold steps offer a stable platform for guardrail tasks. Optional stair treads enhance access comfort and worker efficiency.
Acrow props are a type of adjustable steel support system commonly used in conjunction with scaffolding tubes. Telescopic poles work to adjust height accurately for creating level work platforms. They also support beams, floors, or ceilings temporarily during construction or renovation projects.
These props are easy to use with a screw mechanism for adjusting height quickly and securely. They are a valuable addition to any scaffolding setup. Acrow props come in a range of sizes (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4) to match your project's needs.
Mortar tubs are made from durable plastic and designed for transporting and mixing mortar. Available in sizes suitable for crane lifts and forklifts, they keep your materials contained and mobile.
Rubbish chutes, often constructed from interlocking sections, offer a safe and controlled way to dispose of debris from various heights. They can be attached directly to scaffolding and eliminate the risk of falling materials, keeping your worksite clean and hazard-free. Using mortar tubs and rubbish chutes, along with cranes and forklifts, makes construction easier and safer for everyone.
