Timber Roadside Acoustic Fencing has been specially designed to reduce road traffic noise levels for homes and commercial sites, creating quieter spaces for families or businesses.
Our Roadside Acoustic Fencing is currently available in three different styles: EchoReflect, EchoGroove and EchoAbsorb. Each of these Acoustic Fence ranges offers a tailored solution to reducing excessive noise pollution.
The EchoGroove and EchoReflect Acoustic Fence ranges have been designed to reduce noise pollution by reflecting soundwaves off their surfaces.
The EchoAbsorb range of noise barrier fencing absorbs sound waves, helping to significantly reduce noise levels. This is achieved through a combination of high-quality timber and additional noise-reducing elements such as cover strips, a protective membrane and rockwool infills.
For projects where easier handling or restricted site access is a concern, discover our new EchoGroove® Lite range, offering proven acoustic performance in a lighter, more manageable panel. Unlike the standard EchoGroove, the Lite version features a more compact 1.8m width and is available in heights from 1.5m to 2.4m.
All of our Roadside Acoustic Fencing systems have been independently tested by Salford University to meet Highways England requirements, BS EN 1793 Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices. They have also been tested and are compliant with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2, as well as being compliant with Highways Sector Scheme 2C for the prefabrication of environmental barriers.
All four ranges of roadside acoustic fencing have been made from high-quality Tanalised, pressure-treated timber, which has been sourced from reputable FSC certified UK sawmills.
Please note: The best way to secure our range of Roadside Acoustic Fencing is to dig in and secure with post mix. This helps to ensure that wind loading and site safety requirements are met. We do not recommend using Bolt Down posts with Acoustic Fencing.
Roadside Acoustic Fence kits are ideal for a range of environments where noise reduction is important, especially near busy roads, motorways or even near train tracks.
Common applications include:
The manufacturer states that these Roadside Acoustic Fence Panels have a 30 year desired service life. They are designed to be maintenance free when correctly installed.
It is highly recommended to check with a structural engineer for wind loading, especially for taller fencing panels.
