Palisade Fencing Compliant to BS 1722-12

Our PaliGuard® palisade fencing is manufactured in accordance with BS 1722 Part 12, the recognised British Standard covering steel palisade fencing systems.

BS 1722-12 sets out clear criteria relating to:

• Rail design and assembly
• Approved fixing techniques
• Correct installation practices

A Heavy-Duty Fencing Option

PaliGuard® is robust, dependable and compliant to BS 1722-12 on fencing kits. Our robust design features D and W profiles, completed with an option of triple point, single point or round & notched pale heads, finished in any colour to suit.

Pale Head Options

The integrity of your perimeter begins with the pale head. Our three distinct profiles provide a formidable security deterrent, each engineered to meet the specific risk requirements of your site.

Single Point

The Focused Deterrent: The single-point head presents a sharp, tapered vertical profile. It is specifically designed to provide a high-level psychological and physical barrier, effectively discouraging scaling attempts through its imposing silhouette.

Round & Notched

The Balanced Profile: Frequently specified for public-facing perimeters or lower-risk boundaries, the rounded head offers a safer finish. The addition of the notched detail ensures that while the profile is less aggressive, it remains a robust, anti-climb solution.

Triple Point

The High-Security Standard: As the industry benchmark for high-security installations, the splayed triple-point head is designed to be virtually impossible to scale. This configuration provides the ultimate physical barrier and an unmistakable visual warning to any potential intruders.

Profile Type

Selecting the correct profile is critical to the structural performance of your perimeter. Whether you require the maximum rigidity of a W profile or the traditional profile of a D profile, PaliGuard® ensures full compliance with BS 1722-12 standards, providing peace of mind through superior British engineering.

W Profile

The 'W' shape is the preferred choice for high-security applications. Its unique geometry provides incredible stiffness and resistance to lateral impact, making it extremely difficult to bend or force. Additionally, the fixings are recessed within the 'W' curve, shielding them from tampering and professional vandalism.

D Profile

The 'D' profile offers a more traditional appearance and is typically selected for medium-security requirements. It provides excellent vertical strength and is often used where the fence needs to integrate seamlessly into corporate or commercial environments without compromising the core security standards of BS 1722-12.

Tailored Heights for Every Security Profile

PaliGuard® is available in a comprehensive range of heights, from 1.5m to 3.0m, ensuring a precise fit for both General Purpose (GP) and Security Purpose (SP) applications.

• 1.5m – 2.1m Heights: Typically specified for GP (General Purpose) requirements, these heights provide a robust boundary for commercial sites where a clear visual deterrent and basic security are paramount.
• 2.4m – 3.0m Heights: Engineered for SP (Security Purpose) environments, these heights are the industry standard for high-risk infrastructure and utility sites, providing maximum scaling resistance and structural presence.
• Structural Support: To ensure long-term stability under British Standard guidelines, our systems utilise heavy-duty RSJ posts, ranging from 100 x 55mm to 127 x 76mm for taller, higher wind-loading installations.

Thicknesses From Stock

2.5mm and 3.00mm thick pales for added strength and wind bearing.

Gates to Suit

PaliGuard® gates utilise British Standard compliant pales, attached to the First Fence palisade gate frames, an industry standard in gates. Available in single leaf and double leaf to suit your site.
