Building Trust and Security with Certified Hoarding
Timber site hoarding is the public face of your construction project, instantly building trust. Its role is two-fold: providing a professional street appeal and acting as the primary defence for site safety. This includes protecting the public and workers from hazards, maintaining a secure perimeter, and preventing trespass. Choosing the right hoarding is vital for safety and managing your development’s public image.
Compliance and Engineering Confidence
First Fence’s timber hoarding is engineered to meet the highest industry safety standards, specifically aligning with TWf2012:01 "Hoardings - A Guide to Good Practice" (revised 2020). For maximum assurance, we offer an optional, site-specific engineer-backed Temporary Works Design. This service confirms the structure will meet all required safety, wind-loading, and stability standards for your location.

Simply request our Temporary Works Design (TWD) service when ordering First Fence timber hoarding. This ensures you receive a personalised, engineer-backed plan for your site, verifying stability against extreme factors like crowd loading.

Timber Hoarding Panels – Supplied in OSB or plywood with a sturdy 18mm thickness, providing a solid and durable screen around your site.
Timber Posts – Heavy-duty vertical supports, typically 150mm x 100mm x 3.6m or 100mm x 200mm x 3.6m, delivering essential structural stability and ensuring the hoarding remains rigid and secure.
Horizontal Rails and Vertical Infill Strips – Rails (72mm x 72mm x 3.6m or 100mm x 75mm x 3.6m) combined with rough-sawn vertical infill strips to hold the panels firmly in place and eliminate gaps, enhancing both privacy and safety.
Fixings and Bolts – All required screws, bolts, brackets, and related fixings to assemble the hoarding correctly, helping it withstand everyday site conditions and adverse weather.
Optional Paint or Finishes – Choose from unpainted panels or finish your hoarding on site with corporate colours, anti-climb coatings, or protective sealants, depending on your project needs.
When combined, these components create a reliable timber hoarding system ideal for construction sites, retail refurbishments, temporary works, events, and any project requiring a solid and private perimeter.
To make planning easier, we also offer a handy calculator that works out exactly how many components you’ll need for your specific area.
