1.2m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec Railing Kit

This range of child-friendly playground railings has been designed to be a greener alternative to standard metal bow top fencing systems.

Our EnviroRail® range of bow top railings has been specifically designed to create a strong and stable perimeter whilst also reducing the amount of resource and energy-consuming welding required. Each bay of 1.2m bow top play sec railing utilises custom-designed and formed components which, when pressed together, form an incredibly tight bond. The result is a high-quality, strong and hard-wearing railing system which is more environmentally friendly than its traditional bow top railing counterparts.

These play sec railings aren’t just a more environmentally friendly railing solution; it has also been designed with safety in mind, meeting the strict safety regulations in order to comply with the RoSPA standards.  The bow top design removes any sharp points from the top of each bay. All of the gaps within the bay are no larger than 89mm in width, which helps to prevent accidents from occurring in which limbs have become trapped. For additional peace of mind, these bow top railings have been designed to meet the BS EN 1176 regulations, which are required for playground equipment.

Each EnviroRail® kit comprises pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Included in Each Kit

• 1 x EnviroRail® 1.2m high Play Sec railing panel
• 1 x Railing post
• 4 x twist cleats
• 2 x M10 x 70mm bolts
• 2 x M10 shear nuts
• 1 x support leg
• 1 x ribbed post insert

So that these railing systems can be installed in as many different locations and on many different ground types, they are available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts.

Please note: post mix and ground anchor bolts are not included with these kits and will need to be purchased separately.

Each bay of 1.2m high EnviroRail® bow top play sec railings has been made using excellent quality pre-galvanised steel and finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings are available in a range of bright and colourful options to create a fun and safe perimeter system. The PPC finishes also provide an additional purpose of providing the steel with an additional layer of protection against the damaging effects of weathering and corrosion, allowing these metal playground railings to look great and remain strong for years to come.

Installation

1. Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
2. Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
3. Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
4. Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height systems) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
5. Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.

Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
