Effectively reduce unwanted noise and enhance the privacy of your space with the 1.8m x 3.0m EchoReflect Reflective Acoustic Fencing Kit. Unwanted sound can disrupt communication, spoil recreational activities, and negatively impact well-being. Our timber acoustic barriers are expertly designed to tackle this problem by reflecting and absorbing sound waves, significantly cutting down noise levels from sources like traffic.
First Fence is excited to offer this premium Timber Acoustic Fencing, which easily blends with any exterior design to create a charming, comfortable, and inviting environment. It’s an ideal solution for homeowners, property developers, schools, and businesses located in busy areas.
This 1.8m high by 3.0m wide kit is supplied in a loose component form for convenient on-site construction, with a pre-assembled option also available. Its specialised vertical profile ensures a gap-free finish when correctly installed, preventing sound from passing through.
A wider fence panel offers several advantages: reduced material costs and fewer components, faster and more efficient installation, and fewer vertical posts give a cleaner look.
Please note that for the most secure installation of your Acoustic Fencing, we recommend digging in, and we do not recommend bolting down.
Effective Noise Reduction: These timber barriers redirect sound waves using a profile of vertical sawn boards and cover strips, minimising sound transmission.
Certified Performance: Independently tested by Salford University, this system meets Highways England requirements (BS EN 1793) for road traffic noise reduction and complies with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2.
Superior Durability: Manufactured from Tanalised (UC4), pressure-treated timber from an FSC-certified supplier. The timber is surface incised to achieve maximum preservative protection for ground contact, ensuring a long life.
Long Service Life: Designed to be maintenance-free, the timber boasts a 30-year desired service life as specified by the manufacturer (subject to correct installation and site conditions).
Natural Aesthetic: The timber's natural pale green colour blends beautifully with outdoor surroundings. It can be painted or stained with a breathable finish if desired.
Enhanced Privacy & Security: Beyond noise control, these solid fence panels increase privacy and offer a more attractive alternative to industrial security fencing.
This loose kit contains all the timber components for one 3.0m wide bay: Straight Boards, a Timber Gravel Board, a Capping Rail, Horizontal Rails, and Cover Strips.
You can choose to install your panels using either wooden posts or galvanised RSJ steel posts. Make your selection when adding to your order.
For the most secure and effective installation, we strongly recommend digging the posts in rather than bolting them down.
Installation is straightforward. Once your posts are securely in place at 3.0m centres, fix the horizontal rails to the posts at equal spacings. With the support structure in place, begin attaching the vertical boards, ensuring they are butted up closely to each other and nailed to the rails. Next, attach the cover strips over each vertical joint using 64mm stainless steel nails. Finally, fix the capping rail to the top of the panel to provide a clean finish and help shed rainwater.
Please cut back any vegetation where the fencing will be installed and ensure the panels will not sit in standing water. For guidance on wind loading suitability for your specific location, please consult a structural engineer.
These EchoReflect panels not only enhance aesthetics but also provide a proven solution for unwanted noise in residential, commercial, transport, and industrial settings.
