First Fence is proud to announce the newest product range - Timber Acoustic Fencing. The product range comes in three styles, the EchoGroove, EchoReflect and EchoAbsorb, all designed to help tackle excess and unwanted noise.
Undesirable noise, commonly referred to as sound intrusion, can disrupt communication, recreational pursuits, and in more serious instances, may result in hearing impairment or mental health challenges. Wooden structures and barriers are highly effective in both absorbing and reflecting sound, playing a pivotal role in diminishing noise levels across various applications.
The 1.8m EchoAbsorb Absorbent Acoustic Fencing Kit is supplied in a loose kit form to be easily assembled on site, or as a pre-assembled panel. These are a very popular form of acoustic fencing screening and are suitable for an extensive array of applications including residential, commercial, industrial, schools or healthcare facilities.
These timber acoustic fencing panels work by absorbing and muffling any unwanted sound. They are the ideal solution when you want to keep sound in a contained space. They have two-part panel features that both absorb and muffle excess noise. One side of the panel is of sound-reflective nature, consisting of vertical sawn boards and cover strips, the other consists of a protective membrane and rockwool that acts in an absorbent manner.
The acoustic fencing panels can be installed using either a steel or timber post depending on your preference. Both are available from First Fence. The Steel Post comes with wooden wedges for installation. This is a dig in only format.
The EchoAbsorb Acoustic Fencing Kit offers a simple solution for local authorities dealing with traffic noise, house builders who need to mitigate noise from building projects and homeowners who just want some peace and quiet.
All timber acoustic fencing in this range has been independently tested by Salford University, meeting the standards set by Highways England (BS EN 1793 Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices). Additionally, it complies with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2, in line with Highways Sector Scheme 2C for the prefabrication of environmental barriers.
Manufactured from UC4 Tanalised, pressure-treated timber from an FSC certified supplier. This wood has a natural, soft pale green colour that will blend easily with wherever it is sited. The timber undergoes surface incision at the manufacturer's site, a crucial step in ensuring the highest level of preservative protection, particularly for timber in ground contact.
The loose kit contains EchoAbsorb Straight Boards, Gravel Board, Capping and Counter Rails, Horizontal Rails and Cover Strips and will form one bay of 1.8m high x 2.4m wide timber acoustic fencing.
The timber acoustic barriers boast a manufacturer-offered 30-year desired service life and are designed to be maintenance-free with correct installation. These panels can be painted with a breathable stain or paint. It is recommended that any vegetation is cut down where the acoustic fencing is to be installed and do not install where they may sit in water.
The timber acoustic barriers have a 30 years desired service life offered by the manufacturer and are designed to be maintenance free, subject to correct installation. Check with a structural engineer for wind loading for your specific location.
These panels not only enhance aesthetics but also provide an effective solution for addressing excessive and unwanted noise in various applications, including residential, education, transport, commercial, and industrial sectors. In addition to noise management, acoustic fence panels offer increased privacy and a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to industrial-styled security fencing.
Our EchoAbsorb Panels are also available in 2.0m high and 2.4m high.
First Fence also has a range called EchoReflect and EchoGroove, why not take a look today? Also available is a range of Sound Absorption Barriers and accessories.
