15.0ft Wide 7-Rail Farm Gate Kit
Farm Gates are a core part of a farm, but they need to be incredibly strong and secure to ensure livestock aren't able to break through and escape or the structure isn't damaged by high winds and other adverse weather conditions. This type of field gate has to withstand some testing circumstances so the best choice would be a galvanised steel farm gate.
First Fence has a range of Farm Gate Kits that are perfect for agricultural purposes. They are ideal for farming as they are designed to reduce the risk of an animal's ear-tag or tail getting trapped. Manufactured from galvanised steel, the gates are durable and reliable and capable of withstanding any accidental damage from heavy vehicles or large animals.
This Gate Kit comes with a 7-rail gate leaf that measures 1145mm in height and 4575mm in width. This is one of the largest gates available in this range and requires sturdy posts on which to hang it, the Kit comes with a Hanging Post and Slotted Post both of which have an overall diameter of 114.3mm (4.5") and an actual length of 2000mm (allowing a minimum dig in of 600mm). These gate posts are a dig in format suited for softer ground types and will need Post Mix to secure them in place. This is available from First Fence as a single or multi-buy option.
All components within the kit are available to purchase separately.
The metal farm gate kits also come with a Spring Bolt Kit made up of individual items; a Slider Latch Bar, spring, M20 Flat Washer and a tension pin. The assembled Spring Bolt does not need to be bolted to the gate.
Two Adjustable Gate Eyes are included which make it easy to site the gate on a slope or uneven ground as they are able to have small adjustments made to them.
