The solution is to adjust the eye bolts on the hinge post. By adjusting these eye bolts, you’ll ensure that the slider bolt has sufficient clearance when entering the secondary leaf or catch post.

If adjusting the eye bolts doesn't resolve the issue, try removing the plate from the secondary leaf. This can help eliminate any obstruction that might be causing friction during operation.
