Chain Link Intermediate Post [2100mm x 50 x 50 x 5mm RSA] | 1 |
Chain link fencing is a very recognisable fencing form made from galvanised wire, sometimes coated with PVC, woven into a diamond or zig zag pattern. It is a very popular type of fencing with its relatively low cost, maintenance, and the ease with which it can be fixed into place.
It is a very unobtrusive fencing style, with good through visibility. It is often used for residential fencing in gardens and perimeter fencing, it is useful for securing warehouses and factories, provides a safe boundary for schools and playgrounds, it is ideal for many kinds of sports and recreation area boundaries and can be used for farms and kennels to secure animals.
Chain link has many names, it is known also as wire netting, chain-wire fencing, or diamond-mesh fencing. Also known as hurricane or cyclone fencing, the woven mesh comes in many heights and requires little maintenance once installed, making it an economical and practical solution.
Intermediate posts play an important role in maintaining the integrity of a chain link fencing system, providing support and stability between the strainer (end) posts. They help maintain the fence's shape and tension, ensuring a strong and long-lasting installation.
This support post has an overall height of 2100mm and stands at 1500mm (1.5m) once installed. It is part of a dig-in system designed for use in various softer ground types and requires post mix to ensure a secure installation.
Intermediate Support Post – Designed to reinforce chain link fencing, this post is positioned at 3.0m intervals to offer excellent stability. It features pre-drilled holes for high-tensile line wire, ensuring a strong and durable fence. Suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
Hot-Dip Galvanised to ISO 1461 – Coated with a zinc layer of 85μm, this post offers exceptional resistance to rust and weathering. The advanced galvanisation process ensures long-lasting performance, making it ideal for outdoor environments.
Powder Coated to BS EN 13438 – Available with a green or black PPC finish. This coating improves corrosion resistance and weather protection while providing a robust and attractive finish that extends the life of the fence.
The intermediate post adds extra strength, preventing sagging and ensuring even distribution of tension throughout the fence. It is recommended to install intermediate posts at 3.0m intervals between the end or corner posts along the fencing structure.
