Oxford LowPro 23/05 Road Plate Inner Piece
The LowPro 23/05 Road Plate is a modular system made up of single linking units that can support a vehicle up to 44 tonnes and is a heavy duty solution that is applicable to a larger excavation.
Each Inner Piece measures 2300mm (L) x 500mm (W) x 85mm (H), and weighs 27kg. It can be installed by 2 people using the EasiLift Handles.
The main body of the road plate is a glass fibre reinforced polyester resin sheet moulding with Mild Steel encapsulated rebar grid. It has a non-metal construction therefore reducing the possibility of theft. When maintained correctly it will not structurally degrade in UV light, water or salts, and is stable in temperatures ranging from +50c to -30c.
Multiple road plate inners can be fitted together to cover any length of trench and can safely cover a hole up to 1200mm wide. If needed an end plate can be attached at both ends of the road plate platform. If a site is left unattended it is recommended that the outer sections are bolted to the road surface through the hole in the Flexi Edge (blue section).
The LowPro Road Plate is designed for use in urban areas with a maximum carriageway speed of 40mph. Where traffic exceeds this it is recommended that additional bolts are used, as with unattended sites.
It is quick to install and has an inbuilt linking/locking system that doesn't need bolting together. It features a series of Drop Pins that are deployed underneath automatically and this helps prevents movement on the trench.
Gas Monitoring points are on each plate which will allow gas measurements to be take without having to remove the road plate.
