First Fence is pleased to unveil the EnviroRail® Flat Top Single Leaf Gate Kits, a new addition to our wide range of railing options. Flat Top Railings, commonly known also as flat handrails or flat bar railings, offer a current railing system suited to many types of placement. Recognised for their flat top surface, these railings have a very contemporary look. They transform conventional fencing into a decorative structure, the clean, uncluttered flat top line enhances visual appeal and strikes the perfect balance between security and an inviting feel.

Features and Benefits

The eco-conscious production method sets the EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Gate apart in the market. Employing a very low-weld method, this system uses specially crafted, laser-cut pre-galvanised parts, which interlock during assembly, thus minimising the need for energy-intensive welding. This environmentally conscious option aligns with customers who prioritise reducing the environmental impact during the production process.

Built from pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and then further coated with polyester powder, these railing gates boast outstanding longevity, withstanding extended exposure to outdoor conditions and guaranteeing years of dependable performance.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® Gates provide a completely modular and lightweight solution, allowing for quick installation to meet diverse hardware requirements. They are universally handed, eliminating fixed left or right-hand specifications for on-site flexibility and streamlining decision-making during installation allowing fitterrs to choose the most suitable configuration on the day. The modular functionality ensures adjustability, accommodating gate movement, a feature lacking in fixed hardware.

The gate kit comprises an EnviroRail® gate leaf, hinge post, catch post, and three adjustable gate eyes, meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines, to ensure stability in the unlikely event of even one hinge failing. Furthermore, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post giving fixed axis hinges with no up or down movement.

Each gate arrives with pre-drilled holes, simplifying the attachment of three hinges and a drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are provided to cover any unused holes on the attack face.

Designed for versatility the EnviroRail® Flat Top Gate Kit is available in various heights and widths, also as a double leaf variant, ensuring we have the perfect gate for your needs. Our gate kits are offered in dig-in and bolt-down versions, making them suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in variant suits softer ground types and requires Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces, secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post. Prior to buying your gate, it is wise to carry out a ground assessment to determine the precise gate post style you will need.

When installed correctly will give up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.

Complete your gate by considering the optional Slider Kit for secure closure. The modular design of this gate range ensures compatibility with all our security locks, conveniently provided by First Fence.
