The EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Double Leaf Gate Kit, measuring 1.5m in height and 6.0m in width, provides flexible access control options, enabling you to choose between one or both leaves in open or closed positions. This gate stands out as one of the broadest width double gates available, accommodating foot and vehicle access with ease and being suited to a very wide gateway.
While resembling a typical vertical bar railing product, this gate kit distinguishes itself through an eco-conscious manufacturing method. Utilising an innovative method that minimises welding, it employs custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised components that securely interlock when pressed together, significantly reducing reliance on energy and resource-intensive welding practices. For those concerned about environmental impact in gate production, this could be an ideal choice.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
The EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular and relatively lightweight solution, ensuring easy installation for various hardware requirements. With universal handing, they provide on-site flexibility, eliminating fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular functionality gives adjustability in case the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give.
Each gate comes with pre-drilled holes, simplifying attachment of six adjustable hinges and a drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are included to cover any unused holes on the visible side. A locking drop bolt option is available for purchase and is highly recommended for a double leaf gate.
The kit comprises two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two gate posts, and six adjustable gate eyes (three for each leaf), meeting BS 12604 safety standards to ensure stability even if one hinge fails. Furthermore, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post.
Offered in various heights and widths, our gate kits are available in dig-in and bolt-down versions, suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in variant suits softer terrain like turf and soil and requires Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces like concrete, secured using eight M16 x 125mm anchor bolts, available for inclusion in your order. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.
In addition to this gate kit, First Fence also offers EnviroRail® Railings, Estate Railings, and Gates. Consider enhancing security with a heavy-duty padlock as an additional precaution.
