First Fence is pleased to announce the EnviroRail® Bow Top Gate range, designed to fully complement the EnviroRail® Bow Top Railing portfolio. EnviroRail® from First Fence features both gate and railing panel kits. The gates are available as a single and double leaf, in a wide choice of heights and widths, and in a range of polyester powder coated colours.
Bow Top Railing is a very traditional, attractive and decorative form of fencing, the graceful curves at the top of the rail enhances the overall look of the structure while serving a very practical purpose. Despite this ornamental nature, this type of product also serves as an effective barrier with a range of applications from parks and schools to commercial and residential properties. They provide security to public spaces while maintaining an open and welcoming appearance.
Features and Benefits
The EnviroRail® Bow Top Railing might resemble a typical railing system upon first glance, but it's built using a low-weld technique, making it an eco-friendlier option. This innovative system utilises custom-designed, laser-cut pre-galvanised components that create exceptionally strong connections when pressed together. As a result, it eliminates the necessity for high-energy, resource-intensive welding.
Our gates are crafted from top-notch pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS 10346 standards, and then coated with polyester powder. These treatments ensure the product's resilience against outdoor elements, making it ideal for permanent installation.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
EnviroRail® Gates offer a fully modular, lightweight design suitable for various hardware, enabling quick and effortless installation. With universal handing, there's no fixed left or right-hand leaf, granting flexibility on-site to choose the preferable orientation. The modular functionality gives adjustability in case the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give. Each EnviroRail gate is fitted with a UniSlide kit, providing a secure and durable sliding system for seamless operation.
Each EnviroRail® gate comes with pre-drilled frame holes for convenient installation of three hinges and a drop bolt. Additionally, plastic hole plugs are included, allowing their placement in unused holes on the attack face for enhanced security. A locking drop bolt is also available for separate purchase.
Included in the kit are an EnviroRail® gate leaf, hinge post, catch post, and three adjustable gate eyes. Compliance with BS 12604 safety guidelines is assured by the three hinges, which ensure that if one fails, the others will prevent the gate leaf from falling, thus averting potential injury or damage. Furthermore, the three gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post for added stability, these are fixed axis hinges with no up or down movement.
Available in various widths and heights, this gate kit offers both dig-in and bolt-down versions suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in option suits softer ground like soil or grass, requiring Post Mix for securing the posts. Meanwhile, the bolt-down option is designed for harder ground and is affixed using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts.
This gate kit is compatible with our security locks and when installed correctly will give up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.
