The product's height must be sufficient to discourage scaling or passage by children, and vertical railings should be closely spaced to prevent any risk of a child's head becoming trapped while maintaining clear visibility. Smooth surfaces are imperative to prevent cuts or abrasions, and the product should lack sharp edges or protruding elements that may pose a risk of injury. Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is expertly crafted from pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS 10346 standards, and coated with polyester powder, ensuring durability and resistance to challenging outdoor conditions. This dual-layer protection not only guarantees reliable functionality but also preserves its aesthetic appeal over an extended period. A vibrant range of RAL colours is available to personalise your gate's finish.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
The EnviroRail® gate series offers complete modularity and a lightweight system, enabling rapid installation and accommodating various gate hardware. Universally handed, these gates provide on-site flexibility without specific right or left-hand specifications, streamlining the decision-making process during installation. This modular functionality ensures adjustability in case the gates move, something that fixed hardware cannot do.
The single-leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Compliance with BS 12604 standards is ensured by three hinges, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, establish a fixed-axis hinge, eliminating any potential vertical movement.
Pre-drilled holes facilitate the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with plastic plugs included to cover unused holes on the gate's attack face. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
Safety Compliance
The spacing of the rails at 100mm intervals is designed to eliminate the risk of entrapment, while the top bows are 90mm to prevent potential hazards to the wrists or neck. The design and production of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate adhere to the regulations outlined in BS EN 1176.
The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
