Features and Benefits

The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Double Leaf Gate Kit, with dimensions of 1.0m in height and 5.0m in width, provides versatile access control. Despite its lower height, it is one of the broader gates available and excels in delivering excellent entry management by enabling the operation of either one or both leaves. It is advisable to include a locking drop bolt with the double leaf format, available as an additional purchase option.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates are a fully modular and ultra lightweight gate solution, ensuring easy and swift installation for a range of gate hardware. Their universally handed configuration offers on-site flexibility without fixed left or right-hand specifications, allowing adjustments in case the gates move, a significant advantage over fixed hardware.

What sets apart these double gates from their counterparts is the eco-friendly manufacturing process. Through the utilisation of an innovative low-weld technique on custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised components, it ensures strong interconnected joins without relying on resource-intensive and energy-consuming welding. Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Every EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is produced from pre-galvanised steel that adheres to BS 10346 standards and is further coated with polyester powder for durability and resilience. The double-layered protection guarantees enduring functionality, offering resistance against harsh outdoor elements and maintaining its aesthetic charm for years to come.

The double-leaf gate kit comprises two hinge posts, two Play Sec Railing leaves, and six adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges per leaf, the gate remains compliant with BS 12604, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, giving a fixed-axis hinge that eliminates up and down movement.

Pre-drilled holes simplify the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, accompanied by plastic plugs to cover unused holes on the gate attack face, ensuring a finished look and preventing water accumulation. Compatible with our security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, facilitating an easy installation process. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

The gate rails set at 100mm centres prevent bodily entrapment, and the top bows of 90mm prevent wrist or neck trapping. The rail positioning allows parents, guardians, or supervisors for easy supervision of children while playing. This enhances overall safety and reduces the risk of accidents. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate fully comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate provides a 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, with the gate opening 90° in and out.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in a dig-in or bolt-down version, suitable for diverse environments. The dig-in variant requires the addition of Post Mix to the order, while the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
