At first glance this gate may look like a standard product, however it is crafted using an innovative and eco-friendly low-weld construction method, which sets it apart in the market place. By using a batch of bespoke, interlocking laser-cut parts, and pressing them together to form robust bonds, this technique reduces the requirement for energy-intensive welding. The pressed bonds exhibit the same robustness as their welded equivalents.
Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate Kit is expertly formed from pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and then coated with polyester powder, ensuring durability and resilience against harsh outdoor elements. This double-layer protection guarantees reliable functionality and preserves aesthetic appeal for many years. There is a selection of RAL colours to choose from to give a lovely, fun, bright and sleek finish.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
The EnviroRail® gate range offers an advanced, fully modular yet lightweight gate solution ensuring rapid installation, and accommodating a range of gate hardware. Universally handed, they provide on-site flexibility without fixed right or left-hand specifications, simplifying the decision-making process during installation. This modularity allows easy adjustments if the gates move, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot offer.
The single leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a single Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Three hinges ensure BS 12604 compliance, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, create a fixed-axis hinge, which eliminates up and down movement. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
Pre-drilled holes facilitate the easy attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, accompanied by provided plastic plugs for covering any unused holes on the gate's attack face. The gate, compatible with security locks, offers a 30mm adjustment capability from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process.
Safety Compliance
Rails are set at 100mm centres to prevent entrapment, and top bows are 90mm to prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.
The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
