Q: How do I make a corner in my railing system?

Creating a corner in your railing system is achieved by using two intermediate posts. These posts act as support for both railing sections meeting at the corner. Simply position the intermediate posts side-by-side at the corner point, ensuring they're spaced slightly away from the actual corner for proper installation. With both posts securely mounted, you can then connect your railing panels to each post, effectively creating the desired 90-degree turn. Our intermediate posts come in a range of sizes from 0.9 meters to 2.4 meters to accommodate your specific railing design.

Q: Why are posts available separately?

Whilst each bay of railings will come with a post, an additional post, known as the “end post” will be required to complete a line of railings. We also supply posts separately in the unfortunate event that posts within your railing system should become damaged and need to be replaced. Posts are available for our standard range of bow top, ball top and vertical bar railings as well as for our range of EnviroRail ® railings.

Q: What are railing support legs?

Support legs are designed to provide extra strength and stability to a railing system, especially when using taller railing panels. These legs are bolted on to the bottom rail of the bay and require a small hole to be dug so that the leg can be secured in place with post mix. They are not required for all railing types, for example with our range of standard vertical bar and bow top railings, only railings with a height of over 1.5m require support legs. Each railing kit will be supplied with the correct number of support legs. It would be possible to add them to smaller railings, though it would require holes to be drilled into the bottom rail of the railing bay.

Q: What types of Railings Cleats do you offer?

We have three types of Railing Cleats available. Our standard railing cleats which are designed to go with our standard vertical bar, bow top, flat top, and play sec railings. Then we have two twist cleats for all of our EnviroRail railing types. Our small twist cleats are designed for all our EnviroRail railing types in heights of 0.9m, 1.0m and 1.2m high. While the large railing cleats are designed for EnviroRail railing 1.5m high and above.

Q: What are gate restrainers?

Whilst gate restrainers may look like an incredibly simple item, they play a vital role in greatly reducing accidents and injuries from occurring. These incredibly strong steel wires are easy to install, attaching one end to the gate post and the other to the gate leaf. As the name implies, they “restrain” the gate leaf, preventing it from falling to the ground, which can prevent accidents and injuries from occurring to anyone who may be near the gate in the unfortunate and unlikely event of hinge failure. Each restrainer is made from high quality stainless steel, which prevents the formation of rust and corrosion. There are two different gate restrainers available: The 3mm thick, which can restrain gate leafs weighing up to 250kg and the 4mm thick, which can restrain gate leafs weighing up to 500kg. Railing Posts

For our standard railing posts and EnviroRail® Posts, we have two types of posts, including:

Dig-In Railing Posts: These posts are designed for embedding into soft ground, providing a strong and stable foundation for your railings. Once in place, the posts are held securely with Post Mix. This fast-setting concrete keeps the posts strong and lasting. This type of post is ideal for installations on grassy areas, soil, or any other soft ground.

Bolt-Down Railing Posts: For installations on hard surfaces such as concrete, bolt-down posts are the ideal solution. These posts are made to be securely fixed to the ground with ground anchor bolts. This provides both flexibility and strength for your railing system. Whether you're installing railings for a commercial property, garden, or industrial site, bolt-down posts provide the stability needed to ensure your fence stays in place, even under high traffic or harsh weather conditions.

All our standard railing posts are available in galvanised steel, which provides excellent resistance to rust and corrosion. Our EnviroRail® Posts are made from pre-galvanised steel. For a more customised look, we also offer powder coating in a wide range of RAL colours. This powder-coated finish enhances the appearance of your posts while providing additional protection against the elements, making them more resistant to wear, vandalism, and harsh weather conditions.

Additional Railing Accessories

We also offer a variety of accessories to help you get the most out of your fencing system. These include essential items for installation and maintenance, as well as optional components that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of your railings.

Railing Support Legs: These are designed to provide extra stability and support for your railing system, particularly for installations where additional reinforcement is needed. The railing support legs help distribute weight evenly, preventing bending or warping over time.
Railing Cleats: Railing cleats are used to secure the bars or panels to the posts, ensuring that each section of your railing system is firmly fixed in place. We have three types of railing clips: our standard railing clips, which are for our standard railing kits. Then we have two cleats for our EnviroRail® railings. The small twist cleat is for 0.9m, 1.0m and 1.2m high EnviroRail® railings. Our large twist cleat is for railings 1.5m high and above.
M10 Bolts: For added strength and security, M10 bolts are available to ensure that your posts, panels, and gates remain securely fixed.
Gate Accessories: In addition to the posts, we also offer a range of gate accessories. These include locks, gate safety kits, and gate restrainers, which are essential for ensuring that your gates are secure, operate smoothly, and are safe for use in public spaces.
