The gate restrainer is a simple but essential, strong safety feature to help prevent gates falling in the event of a hinge failing and causing harm to pedestrians or property. The gate restrainer comes in two sizes. These are; 3mm that can support up to 250kg and also 4mm that can support up to 500kg, both come in stainless steel. The restrainer is an extra safety measure to be considered when you are purchasing any gates.

Fitting

It can be simply fitted by drilling a 13mm hole into the gate and another into the post, then you slot the ends of the restrainer though the holes. To prevent the wire from scratching the gate & give the gate restrainer a neat finished, plastic brushes are pushed into the holes. Its finishes a gate of any colour off nicely. The Restrainer can't be attached to walls, so the gate leaf and post are essential.

Can be used with

The gate restrainer can be fitted to any single or double leaf gates and railings. It adapts to fit on any box section gate and be easily retrofitted. Heavy duty and made from flexible braided stainless steel with stainless steel end stops.
