868 Twin Wire Mesh for Strength and Visibility

Built with 868 twin mesh panels, this gate combines robust 8mm horizontal wires and 6mm vertical wires to form a rigid, tamper-resistant barrier. The mesh spacing provides excellent see-through visibility, making it compatible with surveillance systems, while also preventing climbing or the passing of larger objects through the gate.

High Quality Steel Construction

The gate frame and mesh panel are manufactured from pre-galvanised steel, with an optional Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish. This durable coating helps to protect the gate from rust, corrosion, and UV damage—ensuring long-term performance even in harsh outdoor conditions.

Smooth Mitred Corners for Safety

Compatible with First Fence’s 868, 656 and 358 mesh fencing systems, this gate can be seamlessly incorporated into new or existing perimeter security setups.

Suitable for Different Ground Types

Choose the appropriate post type for your site:

• Bolt Down Posts – Ideal for solid surfaces like tarmac or concrete. Requires 4x M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts per post.
• Dig-In Posts – Best for softer ground such as grass or soil. Installation requires Post Mix (available separately).

Hold your Gate Open Securely with a Locking Drop Bolt 

Each of the Apollo® 1.8m x 1.0m single leaf gate kits comes with a locking drop bolt. These bolts allow the gate leaf to be held open securely for extended periods of time. They can also be used to help secure entrance to your site when the gate closed and not in use

Enhanced Safety

When fitted with a Safety Tether (sold separately), this gate complies with BS 12604 safety standards and aligns with DHF (Door and Hardware Federation) guidelines. The tether limits gate movement in the event of hinge failure, helping to prevent accidents and improve site safety.
