3.6m x 87mm x 38mm Timber Rail
Product Description
3.6m x 87mm x 38mm Timber Rail
Our 3.6m x 87mm x 38mm Timber Rail is a simple and versatile choice for creating traditional Post and Rail fencing. Made from rough-sawn timber, it provides a natural, rustic finish while creating an effective boundary for rural, agricultural and residential spaces.
The rail is designed to be fixed horizontally between timber posts, creating a strong and straightforward fencing structure. One post per 1.8m of fencing, plus one post at the end of the run, is recommended.
Rough Sawn Spruce Timber
This timber rail is manufactured from Norway Spruce or Sitka Spruce, sourced from North Wales. The timber is supplied through an FSC Approved Supplier, supporting responsible forestry and sustainable timber production.
At 3.6m long x 87mm wide x 38mm thick, the rail provides a practical and cost-effective solution for a range of fencing applications.
Complete Your Post and Rail Fencing
Pair this timber rail with our 1.8m or 2.1m high timber posts. These dig-in posts require Post Mix for secure installation, with 2 bags of Post Mix recommended per post.
The horizontal rails can be secured to the posts using 100mm x 4.5mm Round Wire Nails.
Versatile Boundary Fencing
Post and Rail fencing is commonly used for:
- Livestock and agricultural boundaries
- Rural and private land
- Property boundary definition
- Parks and open spaces
- Residential landscaping
- Decorative and rustic fencing
For additional animal control, roll mesh can be easily fixed to Post and Rail fencing. For added security and access deterrence, barbed wire can also be installed.
Timber Maintenance
Regular maintenance can help extend the life of your timber fencing. Inspect the rails and posts periodically for signs of damage or rot, and consider staining or painting the timber to provide additional protection from the elements.
