Product Description

2.1m x 125mm x 75mm Timber Post to Suit 1.5m System

The 2.1m x 125mm x 75mm Timber Post is a strong and versatile post designed for use with 1.5m Post and Rail fencing systems. Made from rough-sawn Norway Spruce, this timber post provides a natural, traditional appearance that works particularly well for agricultural, rural and residential fencing projects.

Post and Rail fencing offers a simple and cost-effective way to define boundaries, contain livestock and create attractive perimeter fencing.

High-Quality Timber Construction

This timber post is manufactured from Norway Spruce (Picea Abies or Sitka Spruce), primarily sourced from North Wales. The timber is supplied by an FSC-approved supplier, supporting responsible forestry practices that consider environmental, social and economic factors.

The post measures 2.1m long x 125mm x 75mm and is supplied in a dig-in format for secure installation into soft ground.

Installation

For a 1.5m Post and Rail fencing system, approximately 600mm of the 2.1m post should be installed into the ground. Post Mix is recommended to provide a secure installation, with two bags per post suggested.

The matching horizontal rail is available in 3.6m x 87mm x 38mm and can be secured to the posts using 100mm x 4.5mm Round Wire Nails.

For a continuous fencing run, we recommend one post every 1.8m, plus an additional post at the end of the run.

A matching 1.8m timber post is also available for alternative system requirements.

Enhance Your Post and Rail Fencing

Post and Rail fencing can be adapted to suit a range of applications. Roll mesh can be attached to the framework to create an additional barrier for livestock, while high-tensile barbed wire can be used to help deter unauthorised access.

Timber Maintenance

Regular inspection and maintenance can help extend the lifespan of your timber fencing. Applying a suitable timber stain or treatment can help protect the wood from weathering, while damaged or deteriorating components should be repaired or replaced when necessary.

Complete Your Post and Rail Fencing

First Fence stocks a range of Post and Rail fencing components, including timber posts, horizontal rails, fixings and fencing rolls, making it easy to source everything you need for your project.
