Strong, secure and designed to keep your site safe from intruders, the 2.0m wide by 1.2m high Pedestrian Palisade Security Gate Kit creates a separate point of access for on foot traffic. The use of a pedestrian palisade gate as a separate access point to your site can help to reduce the risk of accidents between vehicles and pedestrians.
What is Palisade Fencing?
Palisade fencing is an incredibly strong form of perimeter security which does not compromise on visibility for additional security systems such as CCTV. Unlike other forms of security fencing like mesh, which are supplied in panel form, palisade fencing consists of individual upright sections known as pales. These pales are secured in place to both a top and bottom horizontal rail which increases the strength and stability of both palisade fencing and gates.
Are palisade fencing gates secure?
With its robust and strong cold rolled steel construction, each 2.0m x 1.2m palisade pedestrian gate combines strength and security whilst also remaining lightweight to allow for easy transport and installation.
The cold rolled steel construction is strong and durable, preventing would be intruders from damaging or vandalising the fencing in order to gain access to the site. As well as being cold rolled, each 2.0m x 1.2m gate is supplied with a galvanised zinc coating. This Not only helps to keep the steel looking good, but also prevents rusting and corrosion which can have detrimental effects on the strength of the metal. Each galvanised coating has been applied to comply with the BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards.
A common way that intruders will gain access to a premises is to climb over the fencing surrounding it. To prevent this from happening, our palisade fencing has a unique ‘W’ shaped profile which makes it incredibly difficult to grip and hold on to in order to climb.
A further deterrent to prevent unwanted persons from gaining access to your site is that each of the pales within the gate is topped with one of three different types of point, either triple pointed, single pointed or round and notched.

- 1 x 2.0m high x 1.2m wide sliding gate leaf
- 1 x 2.0m gate catch post
- 1 x 2.0m hinge gate post
- 2 x adjustable gate eyes
- 4 x ribbed inserts for frame and posts
- 8 x 1.95m pales (These are available in either triple point, single point or rounded and notched tops)
- 16 x M8 nuts and bolts
Customisation of your palisade gate
The 2.0m x 1.2m palisade gate can be customised in the following ways:
- Pale types – It is possible to have your gate with one of three different palisade pale types: triple point, single point or rounded and notched – lead times may apply
- Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) – It is possible to have your 2.0m x 1.2m palisade gate customised in a range of RAL colours. This can help to improve the aesthetics of your perimeter and also add an additional layer of protection against weathering
- Post types – These 2.0m x 1.2m palisade gates are available with either bolt down or dig in posts, allowing them to be installed on a range of ground types. Bolt down posts are suitable for harder ground types where they can be secured with ground anchor bolts. Dig in posts are the more standard or traditional type, which require holes to be dug in the ground and filled with post mix
