12.0ft Wide 7-Rail Farm Gate Kit
A Farm Gate needs to be able to withstand a lot of harsh treatment; farm vehicles and animals may run into it and the weather and temperature fluctuations of the UK seasons will take their toll. Timber gates are often used to cover gateways, but a heavy-duty situation requires a heavy-duty gate and you can't beat galvanised steel when your needs are significant.
First Fence stocks a range of Farm Gate Kits ranging from 3ft in width right the way to 16ft in 1ft increments. Manufactured from galvanised steel, this gate is a classic 7-bar style that is seen frequently in agricultural settings, but it is not restricted to this use, anywhere that needs a sturdy metal gate could use it.
The Kit contains a Gate Leaf, a Hanging and Slotted Post, Adjustable Gate Eyes and a Spring Bolt Kit. The Gate Leaf is 1145mm high and 3660mm wide. Each end of the gate has a box section and the horizontal bars are welded to these which braces the whole structure securely. The lower bars are closer to together to prevent small animals getting out of the enclosure.
The Posts have an overall diameter of 114.3mm and need to be concreted into the ground to secure, Post Mix is available from First Fence for this, in single or multi-buy options.
The Kit also contains a Spring Bolt Kit to fasten the gate in the closed position. The contents of the Spring Bolt Kit come separately and are easily fitted together and do not require bolting on. Also included are two adjustable gate eyes which enable the gate to be sited onto a slope or uneven ground (ground clearance may vary depending on the ground conditions).
