1.2m High x 2.59m Wide 868 Mesh SpectaRail® Fencing Kit
Enhance the safety and aesthetics of your venue with our premium 868 mesh SpectaRail® Fencing Kit. Measuring 1.2 metres in height and 2.59 metres in width, this robust fencing solution is designed to provide clear boundaries and unobstructed views for spectators at sports fields, parks and recreational areas.
The SpectaRail® line has been developed in compliance with the Sports and Play Construction Association's (SAPCA) Code of Practice for the construction and maintenance of fencing systems for sports facilities. Please note, that this product has not been designed as a stadium crush barrier.
The SpectaRail® fencing kit enables you to create a clear demarcation line to keep spectators within the recommended safe distance of 1.83m, which satisfies requirement 1.2.4 in the SAPCA code. The modular format of this pitch boundary rail allows you to create a bespoke fence designed for both safety and crowd management, and is ideal for football fields and stadiums, athletic tracks, rugby and cricket grounds, public parks and playgrounds, and community sports facilities.
Features and Benefits
The SpectaRail® fencing kit comes with an 868 mesh panel measuring 2.5m wide by 1030mm high. It also includes an intermediate post (60x60 x 1700mm), 48.3mm diameter tube hand rail, a folded clamp bar, ribbed inserts and fixings. The SAPCA code recommends six fixings per bay, and for the panels to be secured with M8 threaded bolts, this fencing complies with the recommendation.
Made from high-quality pre-galvanised steel, the SpectaRail® fencing kit is highly resistant to corrosion and is ideal for permanent outdoor installation with long-lasting performance.
The SpectaRail® fencing kit comes with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coated finish, available in a range of RAL colours. The additional polyester powder coating further protects the fencing from the harsh effects of the elements, ensuring long-term functionality and minimal maintenance. Custom colours are available; please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
The SpectaRail® kit has a lightweight, modular design, allowing quick and straightforward installation in straight runs on both axes of a playing field. A change in turn or direction should be achieved by the use of a corner post at 90° orientation.
The tube handrail has an overall diameter of 48.3mm (which is the recommendation in the SAPCA code of conduct) and passes through the hole in the post. It is fixed in place with a self-tapping screw (supplied with the kit) to prevent rotation and removal.
This spectator railing has 20mm ground clearance. The dig-in only format requires two bags of post mix per post for a secure installation. SpectaRail® has been designed for flat ground installation for sports play areas. See the O&M manual in the downloads section for full details and an installation guide.
Also available from First Fence are a single and double leaf 868 mesh gate, both designed to work with the SpectaRail® fencing kit and ideal for creating a secure entry and exit point in your spectator railing.
