Spectator railings serve several purposes, including safety, crowd control, and enhancing the viewing experience. Many sports venues are required to have proper safety measures in place, including railings. Spectator railing gates are an important part of an overall system, allowing control over who can enter specific areas, which is vital for maintaining security, as they can help to deter pitch invasion and other forms of unauthorised access.
The SpectaRail® single leaf gate kit from First Fence contains all the elements required for creating an essential element of your spectator railing system. The SpectaRail® line has been developed in compliance with the Sports and Play Construction Association (SAPCA) Code of Practice for the construction and maintenance of fencing systems for sports facilities.
The single leaf gate is SAPCA compliant ('pedestrian barrier').
Please note, that this product line has not been designed as a stadium crush barrier.
Features and Benefits
The 1.2m High x 1.5m Wide 868 Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit is part of the SpectaRail® line, which includes fencing and gates. Manufactured from high quality pre-galvanised steel, the single leaf gate kit is resistant to damage and corrosion and ideal for permanent outdoor installation. Choose a polyester powder coating, available in a range of RAL colours, and give your gate additional resilience to the harsh effects of the elements while seamlessly matching your SpectaRail® fencing run.
SpectaRail® is a dig-in or bolt-down fencing solution and is ideal for the type of ground sports pitches and grounds typically have. For the dig in version, you will need post mix to ensure a very strong installation; we recommend two bags per gate post.
Each single leaf gate kit contains a gate leaf, hinge and catch post, folded clamp bars, a SpectaRail® fixing kit, and a Unislide single slider gate kit (padlockable). The SpectaRail® single leaf gate is to be installed with 600mm in the ground, which gives a ground clearance of 20mm which must be maintained to keep sports equipment inside effectively, and the 3-way weld-on hinge allows opening of 180°, meaning the gate can swing back against the fence without obstructing the walkway, keeping pedestrians and players safe.
The single leaf gate features clamp bar fixings, these stop finger entrapment and ensure there are no sharp edges.

60x60 black ribbed inserts x4
LOCINOX bolt and nut M14 x2

Within the First Fence SpectaRail® line is a double leaf gate and fencing kit.
