1.0m Wide EchoGroove Acoustic Timber Gate
Please note: This gate kit does not include fixings.
The 1.0m Wide EchoGroove Acoustic Timber Gate provides a practical access point within a timber acoustic fencing system. Designed for in-ground installation, the gate is available in heights of 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.4m and arrives pre-assembled for easier installation.
Its specially designed vertical profile helps minimise gaps around the gate, reducing opportunities for sound to pass through. For the best acoustic performance, we recommend incorporating an acoustic gate into your timber acoustic fencing system.
Acoustic Design
The gate is constructed from vertical sawn timber boards and cover strips, secured with horizontal timber rails. This profile helps deflect and reduce unwanted noise while minimising gaps that could allow sound to travel through.
Timber acoustic fencing and gates are suitable for a range of applications, including residential, education, transport, commercial and industrial sites, particularly where traffic or environmental noise is a concern.
The Acoustic Fencing system has been independently tested by Salford University and meets the requirements of BS EN 1793 Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices. It also complies with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2 and Highways Sector Scheme 2C for the prefabrication of environmental barriers.
Durable Timber Construction
The gate is manufactured from Tanalised (UC4) pressure-treated timber sourced from an FSC-certified supplier. The timber is surface-incised during manufacture to improve preservative penetration and provide suitable protection for ground-contact applications.
The timber's natural pale green appearance allows it to blend into a range of outdoor environments. It can also be finished with a breathable stain or paint if required.
For best results, clear vegetation from the installation area and avoid locations where water is likely to collect.
Long-Lasting Acoustic Solution
The manufacturer promotes a desired service life of up to 30 years, subject to correct installation. The system is designed to be low-maintenance, providing a long-term solution for managing unwanted noise.
Wind loading requirements will vary depending on your location and installation. We recommend consulting a structural engineer to determine the appropriate specifications for your site.
