In the construction and event management industries there is often a requirement for boundary demarcation, creation of a safe working zone, and crowd management. Temporary Fencing is a very popular choice to achieve these aims, and due to its light weight, it is easy to transport and assemble.
If the area you are planning to use Temporary Fencing on is an open expanse there may be a risk from high winds which will easily blow down a light weight fencing run. This is clearly a danger to people nearby but also staff will be wasting their time dealing with downed fencing panels, therefore it is important to use a form of stabilising equipment to prevent this. Temporary Fencing must be able to stand the effects of weather conditions whatever the time of year.
The weighting of Temporary Fencing can be done in many ways, from using bricks and wooden planks (not the best solution!) to specific stabilising equipment. Braces, ground spikes, strut systems and stabilising braces are a few of the options available. Stabilisers and block trays add support and can have additional weights added to them and form a very robust and dependable solution.
The Windbreaker Zero-Trip Foot can be used with the Windbreaker Stabiliser - Reduced Footprint and the Big Foot Block Tray to form the ‘Big Foot Stabiliser – Reduced Footprint’ system. The Temporary Fencing panel’s upright frame fits into the two upright spigots and then is attached to the Windbreaker Stabiliser – Reduced Footprint, and the Big Foot Block Tray with couplers. These form a robust stabilising unit that can have extra weight added to secure the fencing run. The Reduced Footprint takes up less space than other stabilising units and reduces the trip hazard.
For assembly, see our guides. First Fence also has a range of accessories to be used with Temporary Fencing so why not take a look?
