Temporary Fencing is a short-term barrier system that is very popular due to its light weight and ease of storage, transport and assembly. Used throughout the construction and event management industries, it allows easy perimeter demarcation, creation of a safe working zone, and crowd management. It is reusable too so is a good investment.
Its light weight makes it vulnerable to the effects of high, strong winds and like dominoes, once one panel fall the rest are likely to follow. Not only is this a hazard to workers and anyone else nearby, it means staff will be wasting their time re-erecting downed fencing panels. In order to address this issue, a form of weighting and stabilising is needed. There are various methods of doing this from piling rubble up (not recommended!) to braces, strut systems or ground spikes. Stabilisers and block trays give support and can have ballast added creating a very sturdy and dependable system, these are highly recommended.
The Big Foot Stabiliser System - Reduced Footprint is a complete system available from First Fence and is composed of a Windbreaker Zero-Trip Foot, Windbreaker Stabiliser Reduced Footprint and Big Foot Block Tray. The shorter footprint of this system allows it to be used in an area where space is limited, it is also less of a trip hazard.
To assemble attach block tray to the zero-trip base. Insert the tubular leg of the panel onto the spigot on the base. Attach the stabiliser to the block tray and fence panel, then attach spigot base to the fence panel with a coupler (see assembly guide for full details).
The components are manufactured from pre-galvanised and electro-galvanised steel and are light weight and easy to store and transport.
First Fence has a range of accessories to use with temporary fencing, take a look! The component parts of this system are listed online individually too, so if you need a replacement part you do not need to purchase the whole system.
