Key Features & Benefits
868 Twin Mesh Infill
The gate features 868 twin wire mesh construction, consisting of two 8mm horizontal steel wires with a 6mm vertical wire in between them for a strong design, able to withstand opportunistic attacks. The open mesh design supports visibility for surveillance and prevents climbing or the passing of large objects.
High Quality Steel Construction with Professional Finish
Made from pre-galvanised steel with an optional Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish, this gate is built to resist corrosion, rust, and UV degradation—ensuring lasting performance even in harsh environments. All corners are professionally mitred and smoothed to eliminate sharp edges, enhancing both safety and appearance.
Modular Design for Flexible Installation
Part of a modular fencing system, the Apollo® 3.0m gate is designed for quick and hassle-free assembly:
- Universal Handing: Suitable for both left- and right-hand opening.
- Centrally Welded Mesh Panel: Enhances flexibility during installation.
- Pre-drilled Holes: Ready for accessories and hardware.
- Plastic Plugs and Inserts: Seal unused holes to keep out water and debris.
Fully compatible with First Fence’s 868, 656 and 358 mesh fencing systems, making integration with existing setups simple and seamless.
Install on a Range of Ground Types
Choose the right post type for your site requirements:
- Bolt Down Posts: Best for hard surfaces such as concrete or tarmac. Requires 4x M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts per post.
- Dig-In Posts: Suitable for softer ground like grass or soil. Requires Post Mix (sold separately).
Locking Drop Bolt
Each gate kit includes a locking drop bolt to keep the gate leaf securely held open when needed. This also adds a locking point when the gate is closed, improving overall site security.
Increase Safety with a Gate Restrainer
When used with a Gate Restrainer (sold separately), the Apollo® gate complies with BS 12604 and aligns with DHF (Door and Hardware Federation) guidelines. The tether helps to limit gate movement in the event of hinge failure, boosting user safety.
