Engineered for strength and longevity, the Apollo® 1.8m x 2.0m 868 Twin Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit is an ideal choice for securing entry points in commercial estates, schools, recreational grounds, and industrial zones. With a 2.0m width, this gate is ideal for pedestrians or smaller vehicles to access your site. The 1.8m Height provides a more imposing perimeter access point, helping to deter would-be criminals from attempting to climb over to gain access.

Reinforced 868 Twin Mesh Infill: Also known as twin mesh, 868 mesh is made using twin 8mm horizontal steel wires and a 6mm vertical wire. This gives the 868 mesh a highly durable and vandal-resistant structure. Its narrow apertures reduce the risk of climbing while maintaining clear sightlines, perfect for areas under video surveillance or open-view monitoring.
Extra Height & Width for Greater Access Control: At 1.8 metres high and 2.0 metres wide, this gate is well-suited for pedestrian access points requiring a taller and broader opening. It's an excellent fit for service access paths or shared pedestrian and occasional equipment entryways.
Powder-Coated for Long-Term Durability: Made from pre-galvanised steel and coated with a polyester powder finish, this gate is resistant to corrosion and general wear. A range of RAL colours is available to create eye-catching perimeters or to blend in seamlessly with the rest of your perimeter fencing.
Clean, Safe Design: All Apollo® gates include mitred corners, offering a smooth, professional appearance and eliminating sharp edges for user safety, ideal for public spaces and busy environments.
Modular Design for Flexible Installation
Each gate kit is universally handed, meaning it can be installed to open from either side, with no need to pre-select left or right. The included slider kit can also be easily upgraded to a Gatemaster mechanical or digital locking system at any time, even after installation.
All components are pre-drilled to simplify setup, with plastic plugs included to seal any unused mounting holes for a neat, weather-resistant finish.
Locking Drop Bolt for Enhanced Safety and Gate Control
This 1.8m x 2.0m gate comes equipped with a locking drop bolt, a versatile and essential feature that:
- Keeps the Gate Secure When Closed: Once engaged, the drop bolt locks into position, helping to stabilise the gate and prevent accidental or unauthorised opening.
- Holds the Gate Open When Required: Especially useful during deliveries, events, or peak access times.
Ground Surface Installation Options
Choose from two post types depending on your ground surface:
- Bolt-Down Posts: Best for solid ground such as concrete or tarmac. Requires 4 x M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts per post.
- Dig-In Posts: Ideal for softer ground like soil or grass. Requires Post Mix for secure installation (refer to recommendations when ordering).
Add a Gate Restrainer for Additional Safety
When fitted with an optional Safety Tether, this gate complies with BS 12604 safety standards. The tether restricts movement of the gate leaf in the rare event of hinge failure, keeping it within 300mm of its vertical axis and minimising the risk of injury, especially important in schools or public-use areas.
