Our timber posts and stock fencing provide a strong, reliable solution for agricultural and rural use—offering lasting performance with a natural, rustic appearance.
Strong & Long-Lasting: Timber posts create a sturdy framework, while high-tensile netting resists pressure effectively.
Budget-Friendly: A more economical choice than metal fencing, yet built for durability.
Simple to Install & Maintain: Requires few tools and allows for easy adjustments when needed.
Multi-Purpose: Ideal for containing livestock, protecting crops, and marking property boundaries.
Environmentally Friendly: Made from sustainable timber, requiring less energy to produce than metal alternatives.
Cundy peeled corner strainer posts are round timber posts used in agricultural fencing, specially designed to deliver robust support at corners where the fence changes direction or experiences high tension.
The corner strainer post kit consists of one 2.4m x 125/150mm strainer post and two 2.4m x 75/100mm struts. These posts are Cundy Peeled, which is a process that removes the bark. This process gives the posts a natural look with a non-uniform diameter (the dimensions 150/175mm, etc, refer to the fact that the diameter will vary down the length of the post). The posts are tanalised or creosoted to protect the product from rot, fungi and insect attack.
Struts are angled supports fixed between the strainer post and the ground to prevent the post from leaning or being pulled over. Traditionally, the strainer posts are driven into the ground and then backfilled. The struts are often concreted in with a product like post mix.
This type of wooden post is ideal for livestock fencing, hiking trails, and farm property boundaries and is a highly adaptable solution for many non-agricultural settings. Timber is a strong material and is durable and long-lasting in outdoor settings. It is relatively easy to handle and install, which is useful in rural or remote areas.
