Steel knee rail, also known as knee beam or trip rail, is a robust, low-level fencing solution designed to combine strength with a sleek, rust-resistant finish. Product Options: KR48 and KR60

At First Fence, we offer two variations of steel knee rail:

• KR48 – featuring a 48mm diameter top rail
• KR60 – featuring a 60mm diameter top rail

Each design includes two flat upright posts pre-welded to a tubular top rail. Once installed, the knee rail stands at 300mm in height (with posts measuring 800mm in total length).

Easy Installation, No Assembly Required

The steel knee rail is supplied ready-to-install, making setup quick and straightforward. No on-site assembly or mitring is required, and the system easily accommodates both convex and concave angles, without the need for specialist tools or skills.

Durable, Weather-Resistant Finish

Each rail is coated in a green or black polyester powder finish as standard. This additional layer of protection ensures long-term resistance against the elements, helping the structure maintain both its appearance and durability. This durable design means minimal maintenance is required on your new metal knee railings, saving money on upkeep. 

Practical Boundary Definition

While not designed as a high-security product, steel knee rails are highly effective in:

• Defining perimeters
• Preventing trespass on lawns, gardens, or flower beds
• Managing pedestrian traffic
• Protecting designated parking areas

This dig-in format requires Post Mix for secure installation, ensuring stability and long-lasting performance.

Alongside steel knee rails, we also supply traditional Timber knee rails. These features securely fastened horizontal rails supported by vertical timber posts, and are available in:

• Rail lengths: 1.8m or 3.6m
• Rail sections: 75mm or 100mm
• Post heights: 0.9m or 1.2m

• Bishop's Hat (for 100mm rails)
• V-style (for 75mm rails)
