Steel Knee Rail

Steel knee rail, also known as knee beam or trip rail, is a very robust, metallic structure that combines sturdy construction with a glossy, rust-resistant finish. It is ideal for a wide range of applications including car parking facilities, public parks and gardens, commercial properties and urban design. It is a low-level product that deters pedestrians from walking on grass and away from parking areas.

First Fence offers steel knee rails in two options, the KR48 and the KR60. Each format features two flat upright posts ready welded to a tubular top rail with either a 48mm or 60mm diameter. The product is 300mm in height when installed (the total height of the posts is 800mm).

This ready-to-install design means no on-site assembly is required and makes installation relatively swift and hassle-free. There is no mitring needed, and the system easily handles both convex and concave angles without the need for technical skills.

The metal knee rail comes with a green or black polyester powder coating as standard, which gives the knee rail an additional layer of protection from the adverse effects of the weather and temperature.

This low level fencing solution is a dig in format and requires Post Mix for a solid installation. Due to the low height, this is not considered a security product; however, it very efficiently defines perimeters, discourages people from trespassing onto lawn or flower beds and takes care of designated parking areas.

The combination of a robust steel structure and a resilient powder-coated finish minimises the need for ongoing maintenance. Unlike timber knee rails, which require periodic staining or treatment, steel knee rails retain their appearance and functionality with minimal upkeep.

Steel knee rails represent a practical and aesthetically pleasing solution for defining boundaries and managing pedestrian traffic. Their robust construction, low-maintenance requirements, and ease of installation make them a valuable addition to any landscaping or architectural project.

Timber knee rail is a very recognisable product that features securely positioned and fastened horizontal rails that are supported by vertical timber posts. Within the product line are top rails in 1.8m and 3.6m widths with a choice of 75mm and 100mm sections. The accompanying timber upright posts come in 0.9m and 1.2m heights.

Additionally, we offer three post strap styles: Bishop's Hat for 100mm rails and v-style or shoe-style for the 75mm rails.
