Chain Link Intermediate Post [2400mm x 50 x 50 x 5mm RSA] | 1 |
Chain link fencing is a widely recognised type of fence made from galvanised wire, often coated with PVC, and woven into a diamond or zig-zag pattern. Its popularity stems from its low cost, minimal maintenance, and the ease with which it can be installed.
This fencing style is unobtrusive, offering good visibility through the mesh. It is commonly used for residential garden and perimeter fencing, as well as for securing warehouses, factories, and schools. It also provides safe boundaries for playgrounds, sports fields, and recreational areas, and is suitable for farms and kennels to contain animals.
Chain link fencing is known by many names, including wire netting, chain-wire fencing, and diamond-mesh fencing. It is also referred to as hurricane or cyclone fencing. Available in various heights, the woven mesh requires little maintenance once installed, making it a cost-effective and practical solution.
Intermediate posts are crucial for maintaining the integrity of a dig-in chain link mesh system, providing additional support and stability between the strainer (end) posts. They help maintain the fence's shape and tension, ensuring a strong and long-lasting installation.
This support post has a total height of 2400mm and stands at 1800mm (1.8m) once installed. Chain link is a dig-in system and requires post mix for a strong and reliable installation.
Intermediate Support Post – Engineered to reinforce chain link fencing, this post is installed at 3.0m intervals to ensure maximum stability. It is equipped with pre-drilled holes for high-tensile line wire, offering a secure and long-lasting fence. Perfect for both residential and commercial applications.
Hot-Dip Galvanised to ISO 1461 – Coated with an 85μm zinc layer, this post offers exceptional protection against rust and weathering. This high-quality galvanisation process ensures long-term durability, making it ideal for outdoor use.
Powder Coated to BS EN 13438 – Available in a green or black PPC finish. This coating improves corrosion resistance and weather protection, while providing a strong and attractive finish to extend the life of the fence.
The intermediate support post provides additional strength, preventing sagging and helping to spread tension right across the fence. Intermediate posts should be placed at 3.0m centres along the length of the fence between the end or corner posts.
