The Sheffield Cycle Stand is a well-known design and is a very popular and efficient method of parking and locking bikes in a secure and tidy way. The bent hoop style of the stand allows two bikes to be parked and locked to it. They are often seen in a straight line formation, which is why they are sometimes referred to as 'toast racks.' A common sight in town centres, railway stations, parks and other locations, allowing people commuting, exercising or working to do so knowing their bike is safely stored until they need it again.
A classic British design, the Sheffield cycle stand is a parking solution for most cycles. It is a sturdy and streamlined design made from thick stainless steel tubing that is bent into the shape of a square arch, which allows two users to lock the frame and both wheels of their bike, safeguarding it from opportunistic theft.
Manufactured from Grade 304 Satin Finish Stainless Steel, this cycle stand is perfect for a permanent outdoor installation as it is resistant to the effects of the weather and temperature. Its high-shine, smooth surface will continue to look good throughout its lifetime and requires little in the way of maintenance.
This Stainless Steel Cycle Stand measures 750mm in overall width, 800mm in overall height and a diameter of 48mm x 2mm wall thickness. This is a baseplate fixed format ideal for securing directly to concrete or other hard surfaces, and is a very quick installation. This will require a suitable surface to drill into to ensure a secure fixing. If your ground is soft, then a dig-in version may be a better option. The dig-in variety requires excavation and Post Mix, and is a very permanent fixing.
A galvanised cycle stand option is also available; this can be polyester powder-coated in a variety of colours. Please note, this cycle stand has a minimum order quantity of 10.
