Constructed from high-quality galvanised steel, these cycle stands provide a strong anchor point for cyclists to lock their bicycles to. Available in both dig-in and bolt-down variations to suit a variety of hard and soft ground types. 
As well as the standard galvanised finish, these cycle stands are also available in either green or black PPC (Polyester Powder Coating) finishes.

What is a Cycle Stand?

Also known as Sheffield stands, Cycle Stands are designed to provide commuters and the general public a sturdy and strong point to secure their bicycle to whilst shopping, working or spending free time in public spaces such as parks.

Each stand has been constructed from high-quality galvanised steel formed into a bent 48.3 diameter tubular design. Using this bent tube construction eliminates welding points, greatly improving the strength of each stand. The use of zinc galvanised steel allows these stands to be installed in outdoor environments, with the damaging effects of weathering and rust being greatly reduced and increasing the life span of each stand.

Where are Cycle Stands commonly used?

Cycle Stands are ideal for many locations where staff, customers or the general public may choose to travel or commute to by bike, such as:

Installing Cycle Stands

Cycle Stands are simple to install, allowing for multiple stands to be erected in a short span of time. As mentioned previously, these stands are available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts, allowing them to be installed on a range of ground types.

Dig in posts: Cycle stands with dig-in posts are suitable for locations where holes can be dug easily, usually on softer ground types such as soil. These stands are supplied with posts which are 300mm longer than the bolt-down variants, which are dug into the ground and secured with the use of post mix

Bolt down posts: The bolt down post option of these Cycle Stands is more suited to areas where it may not be possible or cost-effective to dig holes, such as areas which have already had a concrete surface applied. Instead of having longer posts like the dig-in version of these stands, these come with pre-welded base plates with drilled holes in each corner, allowing for ground anchor bolts to be bolted down to secure the stand in place.

Customise Your Cycle Stands

Supplied in a galvanised finish as standard, which gives these Cycle Stands a clean and distinct silver finish, though it may not fit the aesthetics of the environment in which they are being installed. This is where our high-quality Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) service comes in. These Cycle Stands can also be ordered in Green (RAL 6005), Black (RAL 9005), or a range of custom RAL colours (Please contact our sales team for further information regarding costs and lead times), which can be used to match company colours or to create a bright and colourful place for staff or customers to secure their bicycles.

There may be occasions where your powder coated stands may become damaged, either due to general wear and tear, accidents or acts of vandalism. In these cases, it is possible to repair the powder coatings with the use of touch up spray cans. These cans are a super quick and easy way to restore the protective coating and keep your stands looking great.
