This evaluation includes testing the product's resilience against tools like bolt cutters, screwdrivers, pliers, and others from Toolkit A. These are all easily concealed tools that an opportunistic vandal may have at their disposal.
This testing process not only assesses the product's resistance to security breaches but also measures the time an intruder is willing to apply in attempting to break in. The SR1 (A1) rating attests that the product offers resistance to a sustained sixty-second attack. The Versatile ProFence® Range
First Fence's ProFence® range offers a choice of fence kits, including the 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, each available in various heights. Features and Benefits
The 2.4m x 5.0m Wide ProFence® gate comes in kit form and aligns with the ProFence® fencing range of the same height. The kit includes a sliding gate leaf equipped with a secure latch bolt for closure, a hinge and catch post, three adjustable gate eyes with shear nuts and ribbed inserts for the posts and gate frame. Additionally, it provides 50mm ground clearance.
The SR1-rated mesh gate is fabricated from high-quality hot dip galvanised steel which is compliant to ISO 1461 standards. This ensures long-lasting protection against the elements and any potential damage – an indispensable attribute for a gate permanently established outdoors. Additionally, a polyester powder coating not only gives a sleek finish but also enhances resistance against damage. There is a range of RAL colours to select from including green and black.
The ProFence® 868 Mesh gate showcases the distinctive 868 Twin Mesh, characterised by 6mm vertical wires intersecting with 8mm horizontal wires. This mesh configuration offers not only robustness and resistance against cutting but also exceptional visibility while effectively preventing the passage of items.
Safety remains a top priority with this certified mesh gate, featuring three adjustable gate eyes. Even in the event of one hinge point failing, the gate itself remains secure, safeguarding both people and property from harm. Each gate eye is securely fastened with a shear nut, ensuring tamper-proof security.
For enhanced security, the gate can be firmly closed using the sliding latch bolt. The kit also incorporates a drop bolt designed to securely hold the gate in the open position, featuring an M5x20mm one-way pan head bolt and M5 shear nut to deter unauthorised removal.
ProFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.
Ease of Installation
The ProFence® gate offers installation flexibility, available in either a dig-in or bolt-down format. It is essential to evaluate your ground conditions before making the installation choice. The bolt-down option includes four ground anchor bolts for each post, while the dig-in post option requires Post Mix, available for separate purchase. For a 2.4m high gate, it is recommended to utilise four bags of Post Mix per post to establish a solid foundation. It is suggested that you use either C20 or C25 post mix.
