Additionally, it gauges the attackers' persistence, measuring how long they are willing to invest in their breach attempt. With its coveted SR1 (A1) rating, this mesh offers resistance against a sustained sixty-second attack with Toolkit A, providing superb protection.

The ProFence® range by First Fence offers fence kits in both 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, available in a range of heights. In addition to these options, single and double gates are also available, seamlessly designed to complement the ProFence® fencing system. Thanks to the rigorous SR1 testing process, this product range is featured in the Red Book, underscoring its exceptional security credentials.

The 1.8m x 3.0m Wide ProFence® 868 Mesh Single Gate Leaf Kit is a comprehensive security solution. It includes a sliding gate leaf, catch and hinge post, three gate eyes, and Ribbed Inserts for the posts and gate frame.

Constructed from high quality steel which has been hot dip galvanised, meeting the ISO 1461 standards and then polyester powder coated, this gate is specifically engineered for permanent outdoor use. This design ensures significant protection against rust, corrosion, and wear-and-tear damage, guaranteeing long-lasting durability.

The gate's mesh fill is the distinctive 868 Twin Mesh, characterised by 6mm vertical wires crossing over 8mm horizontal wires. This configuration offers excellent visibility while effectively preventing the passage of any unauthorised items or individuals.

Safety is paramount with the inclusion of three gate eyes, ensuring that even if one hinge point fails, the gate remains secure, preventing potential injury or damage. Each gate eye is secured with a shear nut, rendering it tamper-proof once in place.

For added security, the gate can be securely locked in the closed position using the sliding latch bolt. The kit also includes a drop bolt designed to hold the gate in the open position, featuring an M5x20mm one-way pan head bolt and M5 shear nut to prevent unauthorised removal.

Installation Made Easy

The ProFence® gate offers flexibility in installation, available in either a dig-in or bolt-down format. It's essential to assess your ground conditions before making your choice. The bolt-down option comes with four ground anchor bolts for each post, while the dig-in post option requires Post Mix, available as an additional purchase. For a 1.8m high gate, it is recommended to use three bags of Post Mix per post, ensuring a solid foundation. It is highly recommended that you use either C20 or C25 post mix.

A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
