The gate incorporates the distinctive 358 Mesh, often referred to as Prison Mesh due to its frequent use in high-security facilities. This exceptionally robust wire mesh features a narrow configuration that blocks object passage while making scaling or cutting attempts exceedingly challenging for would-be intruders. However, it allows for efficient perimeter monitoring, making it particularly suitable for scenarios where clear visibility is paramount, especially when integrated with CCTV systems.

First Fence's SR1-rated mesh gate kit is available in both dig-in and bolt-down formats, accommodating a broad range of ground conditions. It is crucial to assess the ground conditions at your intended installation site before making your purchase, as this will determine the appropriate kit variant. Soft soil or turfed areas will require the dig-in option, while concrete or solid ground demands bolt-down posts.
The bolt-down kit includes essential ground anchor bolts. If you opt for the dig-in kit, you should add Post Mix to your order, with a recommended four bags per post for a sturdy installation. Post Mix is also available in larger bulk quantities if required for a large project. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.
This gate boasts a substantial width, making it the largest in this height range, catering to both pedestrian access and vehicles. The sliding latch bolt securely maintains the leaves closed, while the drop bolts ensure their steadfast positioning. You retain the flexibility to open one or both leaves according to your specific site requirements.
A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
