PlaySecure® 1.2m x 1.2m Wide Single Railing Gate Kit
Ensuring the safety of children and young people is a top priority. The PlaySecure® Single Gate Kit provides a child-friendly, secure entry and exit point for parks, playgrounds, and other fenced recreational areas. Designed to complement First Fence’s EnviroRail® Bow Top Fencing, it gives parents, carers, and site managers confidence in the safety of their environments.
This is a dig-in only system, requiring two bags of Post Mix per post for a stable and secure installation.

The swing orientation is determined by retrofitting the slam plate. Outward-opening is recommended to:

The 1.2m wide opening exceeds the 1.0m RoSPA recommendation, providing safe clearance for:

Self-Closing Mechanism
Each gate comes with an integrated self-closing system that automatically closes and latches the gate.
Adjustable speed ensures the gate closes in at least five seconds, preventing the gate leaf from striking children.
Anti-Entrapment & Safety Features
Child-safe design elements include:
- 40mm gap between hinge post and gate leaf (RoSPA minimum: 12mm)
- 60mm ground clearance to reduce foot injuries

The bright polyester powder coating provides:

Includes 13mm self-adhesive 3M tapered rubber pads to:

It is recommended that the gate colour contrasts with the surrounding fencing, making entrances and exits easier to see for all visitors, including those with visual impairments. Installing two gates is also advised to ensure alternative access if one becomes blocked.
