PlaySecure® 1.0m x 1.2m Wide Single Railing Gate Kit
When it comes to children and young people, safety is paramount. The PlaySecure® Single Gate Kit provides a child-friendly, secure entry and exit point for parks, playgrounds, and other fenced recreational areas. Designed to complement First Fence’s EnviroRail® Bow Top Fencing, it gives parents, guardians, and site managers confidence in the safety of play environments.
This is a dig-in only system, requiring two bags of Post Mix per post to ensure a stable and reliable installation.

The swing orientation is determined by the retrofitted slam plate, and outward-opening is recommended unless hazards are present, such as:

The 1.2m wide opening exceeds the 1.0m RoSPA recommendation, allowing safe passage for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Self-Closing Mechanism
Each gate comes with an integrated self-closing system, automatically closing and latching after use.
Adjustable speed ensures the gate closes in at least five seconds, reducing the risk of the gate leaf striking children.
Anti-Entrapment & Safety Features
The gate includes multiple child-safety features:
- 40mm clearance between hinge post and gate leaf (RoSPA minimum: 12mm)
- 60mm ground clearance to reduce foot injuries
- Safety tether prevents the gate from falling if a hinge fails (BS EN 12604 compliant)

The bright polyester powder coating and smooth edges provide:

Supplied with 13mm self-adhesive 3M tapered rubber pads to:

It is recommended that gates contrast in colour with surrounding fencing, making entrances and exits easy to identify, including for those with reduced vision. Installing two gates is also advised to ensure an alternative access route if one becomes blocked.
