M20 x 260mm Resin Stud Ground Anchor Bolt
Mechanical fixings are quick and efficient, but the base material needs to be able to withstand the stresses induced. They are sometimes deemed unsuitable for use in weaker materials like block, brick and stonework, which can crack or crush, but are cheaper and less sensitive to bad installation techniques.
If you use these for bolting down anything that moves, such as a gate post, the continual movement of a heavy gate loaded onto it will cause your drilled holes to weaken, and they may break down.
The alternative to mechanical fixings is chemical or resin fixings, and these are highly recommended when you need the most secure and strongest fitting possible.
They exert much lower stress on the base material than a mechanical anchor, and so are useful for closer edge and spacing distances.
This product is a chisel-point chemical anchor stud and is suited for use with resin anchor systems. It is 20mm in diameter, 260mm in length and manufactured from galvanised steel, which adds a protective layer and makes the stud appropriate for several different situations. Included with this product is a washer and nut.
