Designed to provide an environmentally friendly option of steel vertical bar railings, the 1.0m EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railing kits are a strong, robust and cost effective form of boundary or perimeter creation. Each bay has been constructed from high quality steel and made using revolutionary new reduced weld construction techniques, these railings are strong, robust and designed to remain strong and looking great for many years to come.
Standard metal railing systems require energy and resource intensive welding in order to create joins between the various components that make up a railing bay which have negative effects on the environment. The EnviroRail® systems aim to reduce these negative effects by reducing the amount of welding required.
This is achieved through a revolutionary new process which uses a series of custom formed and laser cut components which are interlocked and pressed together. When pressed together these components form incredibly strong bonds which requiring reduced welding and provide a high level of strength and rigidity, greatly reducing the amount of welding required to create a complete railing bay.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
The 1.2m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Railing Kits are also available with the option of either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts have been designed for use on soft ground types where holes can be easily dug such as in soil. These posts have been made to be longer than the actual height of the railings so that a section of the post can be placed into the hole and secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are intended to allow for installation in locations which may have been surfaced with concrete, making digging holes either difficult or simply not possible. These posts have a pre-attached base plate which allows for ground anchor bolts to be used to secure these posts to the ground.
Each of the 1.2m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railing kits are supplied with the following:
As each kit is supplied with one post, an end post kit may be required to complete your railing system.
The 1.2m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railing Kits can be customised with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These high quality and professionally applied coatings leave the railings with a fantastic finish that is available in a range of RAL colours, allowing you to match the colours of your organisation or create an eye catching perimeter. These coatings also provide an additional function of creating a protective coat, helping to prevent the formation of rust or corrosion.
Should the powder coatings on your EnviroRail® system become damaged, either through accidental damage or acts of vandalism, it is possible to repair and restore these coatings with the use of a touch up spray can.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
