A strong, stylish and more environmentally friendly railing solution, the EnviroRail® 2.4m high standard bow top railing systems provide security in the form of a perimeter for your home, as garden fencing or for use in public spaces such as parks and schools. Constructed from high quality pre-galvanised steel, these railings offer a great level of strength, whilst its 2.4m height prevents would be intruders from attempting to gain access to an area via climbing.
Whilst these bow top railings may look like other metal railings, the major difference is in how they have been produced. Normally, metal railings require a large amount of welding in order to secure components together, whereas the EnviroRail® range uses a series of custom designed and formed components which create strong bond when pressed together, greatly reducing the amount of energy and resource intensive welding required.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
So that these railing kits can be installed in a wide range of locations to meet your site requirements, they are available for order with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are ideal for use in areas where the ground is soft enough for holes to be dug. These are longer than their bolt down counterparts, to allow a section of the post to be placed into the hole and then securely held in place with the use of post mix (sold separately)
Bolt down posts – These posts are suited towards areas that may be covered in hard ground surfaces like concrete, where digging holes may not be possible. Each of the bolt down posts have pre-attached base plate, which allows the post to be bolted down to the ground securely with the use of ground anchor bolts (sold separately).
As standard, each bay of 2.4m EnviroRail® bow top railings is finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings not only allow for some bright and colourful perimeter systems to be made, but also provides an additional layer of protection against the damaging effects of weathering and rust formation.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
