1.0m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec Railing Kit

A safe, strong and greener alternative to traditional steel bow top railings, the EnviroRail® 1.0m High Bow Top Play Sec Railing systems have been designed with child safety in mind, meeting the strict safety regulations in order to comply with the RoSPA standards. The rounded bow top design removes points and sharp edges from the tops of the railings. These bow top railings have also been designed so that there are no gaps larger than 89mm. By keeping the gaps in these railings as small as possible, it prevents children from getting heads, arms and other limbs trapped, leading to potential injury.

A key difference that separates the EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec Railings apart from other bow top railing systems is in the way that each bay is constructed. The EnviroRail® range uses a reduced weld system, which comprises of components that have been specifically designed to create strong bonds when pressed together. This system reduces the amount of energy and resource intensive welding required to complete a bay.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Each 1.0m Bow Top Railing Kit includes:

• 1 x 1.0m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec railing panel
• 1 x Railing post
• 1 x support legs
• 1 x ribbed post insert
• 4 x twist cleats
• 2 x M10 x 70mm Bolts
• 2 x M10 shear nuts

So that these railings can be installed in as many locations and on as many ground types as possible, these kits are available with either dig in or bolt down posts. (Please note: post mix and ground anchor bolts are not included with the kits and will need to be purchased separately.)

Polyester Powder Coated Finish

The EnviroRail® 1.0m Bow Top Play Sec Railing kits are supplied with a high quality and professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings are available in a wide range of colours, allowing you to create bright and colourful play area perimeters. These coatings also provide an additional function of protecting the steel against the damaging effects of corrosion and rust formation.

In the unfortunate event that the powder coating should become damaged in some way, it is possible to restore the protection that these coatings provide as well as keeping your railings looking great with the use with a touch up spray can.

How to step your panel

Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.

Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).

Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.

Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).

Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.

Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
