0.9m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec Railing Kit

A child-friendly railing system that is ideal for use on school grounds, around play areas and parks. The Play Sec railings have been designed to meet the strict safety regulations in order to comply with the RoSPA standards.  Its curved bow top design removes points or sharp corners. To prevent children from getting their heads, necks and other body parts trapped, there are no gaps larger than 89mm in width.

Whilst these railings may look like standard bow top railings, the major difference is in how each bay is constructed. The EnviroRail® Play Sec railing systems use a series of custom-formed and cut components which have been specifically designed to form an incredibly strong bond when pressed together. This system greatly reduces the amount of resource and energy-intensive welding required to create each bay.

Each EnviroRail® kit comprises pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Each Kit Includes:

• 1 x 0.9m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec railing panel
• 1 x Railing post
• 1 x support legs
• 1 x ribbed post insert
• 4 x twist cleats
• 2 x M10 x 70mm Bolts
• 2 x M10 shear nuts

To allow these railings to be installed on a range of ground surfaces, these 0.9m high kits are available with either dig-in or bolt down posts.

Powder Coated Finish

Each bay of these child-safe bow top railings has been constructed from high-quality steel, finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings are available in a range of bright, eye-catching colours and provide the steel with a layer of protection against the damaging effects of weathering and rust.

How to Install Your Panel

1. Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; the gradient dictates this.
2. Open the hole to 12mm to accept the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
3. Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
4. Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height systems) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
5. Attach the railing panel according to the standard installation guidance.

Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
